Funny story though, on this topic:

I made a catfish account (Grindr) of this guy who had visited town, and sent a ton of pics to me before, on another account I had. It was pretty ideal, since he only visits SF a couple times a year, and his IG is a little vague so I could link to it believably. Anyway, he learned about catfishers using his pics, so became super strict about sending pics, even posting to his IG about it.

So anyways he was back in town recently, and I logged into the account I have with his pics, knowing we'd both pop up in peoples feeds. A few people messaged me asking about double profiles, and I explained the catfish issue, directing them to IG even to see his post about it.

They asked "well how do I know you're the real one?" and I asked "well did the other guy ask for your pics, but not send anything back? It's because he's fake and doesn't have pics to send". Since I had all his pics from before, I sent a couple, and these guys instantly believed that I was the real one.

Now, this is very very advanced catfishing and I do not recommend it to amateur baiters... but it was funny that by openly catfishing as someone, it made them so vigilant about not sending pics that by default my fake account looked more legit lol.
