this is slightly OT, but does anyone know how to grab videos sites that use fl0wplayer? none of my chrome plugins (vget, video downloader pro, flash video dler) are detecting any videos. i tried disabling flash in hopes that it would force an HTML5 version, but that's no-go because it requires flash. when i view the source, i can see mentionings of mp4 videos, but i just can't figure out where they're actually stored. seems like some amazon server.

this is for a porn site (pic very related), so if someone can help me i'll share the wealth. i can upload any model you want for whoever can give me a solution.

sure! and thanks. here's a portion of a random video page's code that shows the flash player. looks like it's streaming because it's rtmp right? is there even a way to get the file without having to record it from the stream?

you need to use a program called rtmpdump for those kinds of video (rtmp).

for the video in your screenshot, you need to run it like this:

rtmpdump -r "rtmp://media.interset.net/vods3/definst" -a "vods3/definst" -y "mp4:amazons3/next-fmlvmp4/bailey_100423.mp4" -o "bailey_100423.flv"

for different videos you need to change the -y part which you can find as the "url:" part on video pages. -o is the filename and can be w/e you want.

this is solid advice. i'd like to add that if your downloads get cut off, the server might be detecting that you're downloading data faster than you can watch it. try the --live switch in that case

amazing! this worked. the --live switch was vital advice because it kept cutting out otherwise. ended up being a slow download and perhaps not worth it, but hey, at least i don't have to pay to download the videos. let me know if there's a video you want and i can put it up wetransfer.
