“Blake Mitchell” is a try hard trying so desperately to become a celebrity or “social media” influencer. If you read his Twitter feed and or Instagram, he will always make some damn comment about not being famous, or when some celebrity “ignored” him, and or complain about not having a verified check mark. He constantly tweets at celebrities trying to get their attention and be “seen” as one of them. His whole porn persona-Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and now even a “biography” (ego boosting dribble) are just a narcissistic drive to being seen as important. In reality, he is a porn star and nothing more. Now his sex scenes are entertaining and he is very attractive, not to mention his very well endowed penis as well. But that’s all he has, that’s it. He will never garnished the same “mainstream” success as the other celebrities he craves and he will never be more than a pornstar.

I would agree except that if you’ve watched his YT videos, he’s not that interesting. He’s very pretty in the face and has the charm of those glasses. Great body, glorious cock. brent corrigan was popular because he was the male traci lords. there was scandal and intrigue surrounding him. unfortunately for him he tried to leverage it into an acting career before the world was ready. i remember him excitingly blog about all that and he had like a 0.5 second cameo in Milk as a silhouette, lmao. the industry wasn't sex positive in the 2000s and it's still not as sex positive. and now brent has passed his "gay death" age (he still looks handsome and hunky, but he's no fresh-faced twink anymore). perhaps he's reached something though because of the film made about him...

i think out of all the studios, models from Helix + Cockyboys have the biggest "cool"/"hip" crossover factor. and since a lot of culture and taste-making comes from gay artists/filmmakers/musicians, gay porn could have a bigger crossover to mainstream culture. but i still think a lot of our culture is still sex negative and not ready to accept porn stars as anything more than fuck toys. you also have to have a certain je ne sais quoi and talent beyond porn to reach fame. you have to be able to leverage yourself and show you're cultured and more than just a hole from a flyover state.

i think the person who has gotten closest lately is Sean Ford. i always see him hanging out with gay artists and the like on IG. Jake Bass and Max Ryder both kind of leveraged their Cockyboys careers to d-list celebs, but both of them have disappeared too...

i think sean is more interesting. look at his IG versus blake's. blake is so boring and basic. but tbh i do agree that blake has more crossover potential to mainstream. i can see blake becoming a household name before sean and getting more wide appeal. but i still think sean is more interesting as a human being and has better taste. sean has a lot more sex appeal to me. blake tries too hard.
