After watching the video it's obvious they haven't actually broken up in the traditional sense and are just social media/publicly "broken up", meaning we likely won't see either of them on each other's social media anymore. Ethan moved into his own place so that he could have his own space - but he's only a 5min walk away... chile, please. What they did was they "broke up" that methan shit, and are trying to silence all the droves of followers who constantly question them on social media about the other and the relationship whenever they're trying to do anything by themselves. Pretty savvy. I would expect nothing less from Mark.

This seems like the only comment Mark liked on that entire 5k+ monster comment video. LOL I don't think this was about cheating/falling out of love. It's about being young. Being free. Going out there and doing the damn thing, etc. About their careers and where they are at in life professionally and how being in this relationship restricted them to the point that it has become detrimental to their own personal success/growth. as someone that's been following them on Instagram for years, I have def noticed an uptick in their activity as far as liking each other's posts. Ethan's trying to be an artist with his doodles and Mark is trying to be a photographer while still doing the videographer/youtuber bit. It is a lot of work to maintain a live-in relationship while trying to pursue your dreams/find your true calling. Ethan says he wants to always appreciate Mark's love, Mark says sometimes he doesn't appreciate Ethan and he never wants that to ever be a thing. So, they move into their own places. And they no longer have the weight of having to "take care" of another person, or pressure from crazy stans to always be on. Do I think they're still a couple? Yup! It's just easier to call it a break up, simple and clean. Rather than go into gory detail in a video. Personally think they decided to move into separate apartments to try out something new after 5+ years together, and the online break up announcement was borne out of that. Like, if you look at the bits and pieces of their new apartments that they've shown us the design aesthetic is almost a mirror-image/transposition of the house they had together and their individual tastes (and if I'm being honest more so Mark's very minimalist taste), so they are both clearly still heavily involved in the look of each other's places.
