Welcome to the WETRANSFER DEPRECIATION THREAD

A thread for all of us who HATE wetransfer and any other service of "temporal" download.

Because we are tired of endless threads with tons of dead wetransfer links and tons of "can you reupload?" responses.

Because there's no benefit between chosing wetransfer or any other service like Mega.

What's the point of temporal downloads? IT MAKES NO SENSE!

We hate that now wetransfer has become a trend!

We can't wait for wetransfer to be shut down. It must perish.

Right. Let's just stop sharing shit altogether then.

>>59155 For real???? wtf... Ok, I'll just upload files to my premium upstore account & share some in this thread. (Applicable for those who have premium accounts)..... FYI this is just a sarcasm so that you may know.

No.59179 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 00:06] [Report] []

I agree so bloody annoying what's the
point of sharing something if it only lasts 5 mins and we land up with 1000s of posts saying "link doesn't work"

No.59188 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 00:25] [Report] []

I'll put all of my uploads on wetransfer from now on, don't like it? don't download it!

I don't hate Wetransfer, but I think with this thread we have an oportunity ti find as a community a better way to share our files. Clearly temporal download links are not the best way of doing it, like OP stated they have too many problems, dead links all over the place, people spamming to reupload, and after the reupload there's a new flood of spam to rereupload because the new link is dead, etc.

It ends up being a pain in the ass instead. Clearly temporal links are not the best solution.

What are other choices? Let's try to find out together.

No.59257 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 06:04] [Report] []

People must be too dumb to figure it out because nobody ever makes torrents. All it takes is picking the directory on your computer and then sharing a magnet link, yet people don't do it. If even 20 people rounded up a dollar each every month, there could even be a seedbox to ensure the torrents don't die. Torrents made with a magnet link, and well seeded, will never die. They can't be taken down, and just need that one link to be shared anywhere.

No.59325 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 08:56] [Report] []

The use of We Transfer wouldn't be a problem if the people who download took the time to "pay it forward" by uploading their copy when the next person asks. I've done that. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload and copy/paste the link.

Honestly, don't expect anyone here to change to meet your demands.

By the way, you're wrong that there's not point in using the site. The point of We Transfer is that you don't need an account to share. That's important when your sharing illegal files.

>>59229 Thank you! It is not about favoring X or Y service; the flood of requests for re-uploads makes the threads cumbersome. Optimization? How? Serious suggestions, please.

And, while we are at it: there are some fucking idiots who keep asking, "What's his Insta?" repeatedly. Fuck. Either look at the pictures or press [GIS].

>>59164 are you retarded? Wetransfer is the ONLY way to share files?

No.59465 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 16:45] [Report] []

Why don't people use Mega? I thought Mega was supposed to be the "next big thing" but I hardly ever see links using it.

No.59493 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 17:39] [Report] []

>>59465 because people are stupid

No.59512 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 18:24] [Report] []

It's not like links to other platforms don't break or have files that are already taken down, usually because the copyright holder has found them and complained to the provider.

The advantage of WeTransfer, at least, is because the window is so short there's less chance of the content owner finding out what's specifically being shared, and then constantly being on the lookout to have it removed in the future.

>>59325
What he said.

No.59544 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 19:39] [Report] []

>>59512 Yes to that! Some are just dumb and selfish, sharing should be discreet that's why there has to be an allotted time to a certain file. Why not blame those who doesn't share content after all. Denouncing a file sharing site is f*cking dumb.

No.59552 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 20:02] [Report] []

>>59465 Because Mega now has a file size limit for download, and if you want to upload something you need to create an account. More, if someone denounce the file you uploaded Mega takes it down without asking. Anyways, even for older files created with rapidfuckingshare or megafuckingupload you'll have idiots asking "can you upload them again!?!?" so I'll continue uploading my files to Wetransfer.

No.59581 : Vas [2018-01-07 21:34] [Report] []

I freaking hate this service.
There are much better free alternatives.

No.59586 : Anonymous [2018-01-07 22:09] [Report] []

>>59325 I think this is the solution.

I can asure that 99% of the user of this community haven't heard a thing about "pay it forward" concept.

What if the community takes a stand and make it a must-do rule?

It only takes a couple of minutes! When you download something from wetransfer, immediately re-upload it and past the link in the thread.

That way we can assure that the file will always be available because there will always be a new link generated by the last person who dowloaded (and re-uploaded) it!

I think this is brilliant! How can we make it a rule?

No.59632 : Anonymous [2018-01-08 01:21] [Report] []

>>59586 That was my post. Sadly, I think you're right about many people here only taking and not paying it forward.

Sadly, I also think trying to force people to do that is pointless. People ignore the current rules; people will ignore any new rules.

4. Four. FOUR THREADS on the main page with dead wetransfer torrents.

We need to stop this madness.

Enough of temporal links!
